Those metal things holding ...You are doing great! <br /><br />Those metal things holding the jars are hose clamps. You can get them at any hardware store or home depot, lowes, etc. They are used in all kinds of applications from automobile to plumbing. These appear to be plumbing clamps. Go to the plumbing section and show them your picture. Take a jar with you so you can measure for the right size.<br /><br />These are metal. You can mount them to a board or piece of moulding (as in the picture) with a screw. <br /><br />Then, with a straight screwdriver, you turn the little screw on the clamp until it is tight around your jar. They will be happy to show you how to loosen and tighten at the store.<br /><br />No phd needed and they are cheap.<br /><br />Good luck!
